Abstract The issue of ethics is one of the most evident, important and practical issues in topics related to human sciences. Islam has a fundamental and systemic view of ethics, and moral values are inseparable from religion. Due to their constructive role in human purging and education, divine teachings in the moral system of Islam are purposive and based on pragmatism and realism, and they claim an epistemic and moral system which is unique regarding subject, method and goal. The issue of ethics in Islamic thought considers marriage and family institution dependent on the requirements, capabilities and goals of creation. It is a necessary matter which is based on the will of God and its crucial role in the genetic and educational process of human is recognized by Islam. Moral values of Islam have levels and priority. Especially in the realm of family’s moral values, it is one of the biggest distinguishing features of Islamic moral system. The family moral principles are in accordance with epistemic system and the religious and jurisprudent statements which guarantee the performance and fulfillment of Sharia goals. Family is the core of emotions and education, and the best means for fulfilling its objectives is ethics. From this perspective, moral principles and propositions internalize values and moral development in a bilateral and dynamic process. Ethic recommendations in Islamic teachings help bettering of relations and strengthening of family. This article aims to study this matter using divine knowledge as manifested in divine teachings and the life of Ahlol Bayt (PBUT).
