The Children and Educational Role of Parents

Abstract
There are valuable recommendations in religious teachings about the educational role of parents with regard to their children. The education of children and paving the way for their religious, social and spiritual development have been emphasized seriously. Aiming to explain the educational tasks of parents with regard to their children, this research uses descriptive-analytical-inferential method in order to describe, explore and analyze qualitatively the Islamic teachings with regard to educational role of parents. The main question of this research is what recommendations do exist in religious teachings concerning the educational role of parents with regard to their children.
The contemplation on religious teachings shows that there are valuable suggestions such as selecting a good name, teaching politeness, instructing the manner of eating, praying, social morale, skills of living, making ready against belief doubts etc.
